James Moore
Soloist, Pacific Northwest Ballet
James Moore, a soloist with the Pacific Northwest Ballet, joins our ranks of MPG Messengers following his inaugural appearance in our Fall 2011 editorial campaign. Originally from San Francisco, he trained at the San Francisco Ballet School the School of American Ballet before joining Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre in 2001. He joined Pacific Northwest Ballet as a member of the corps de ballet in 2004 and was promoted to soloist in 2008. James Moore brings youthful vitality and élan to every role he has undertaken. His passion, vim and vigour onstage belie his laid-back and relaxed persona off, he is the quintessential West Coaster. James, by his own admission, 'doesn't sweat the small things' and finds joy in the simpler things. His pursuit of peak performance in his professional life sits in square contrast to his mellow lifestyle yet he finds his balance with ease.
Despite his young age, James is an accomplished dancer with a bright and promising career ahead of him.
"MPG allows me to rehearse in complete comfort in the studio at work but also holds up to my extra-curricular activities when I'm exercising with friends or on my own.”
